FAQ

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and HAP Insurance for individual, couples, and group therapy. If you are covered by a different insurance company, I am able to provide a superbill as an out-of-network provider so you can receive reimbursement for sessions.

  • What is your out-of-pocket rate?

$190 for an hour-long session, $170 for 45-minute sessions, and $50 per group therapy session. Payment options include credit/debit card, cash, or check. Payment is expected no later than four weeks post-session date.

  • How long will therapy take?

There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline for therapy. Some people come for a few months to focus on a specific goal, while others stay longer to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to feel meaningful and aligned with what you need.

  • Do you offer in-person or telehealth sessions?

Yes—both! I see clients in person in Northville, MI or Birmingham, MI, and online anywhere in Michigan. You’re welcome to choose one format or blend the two depending on your schedule and comfort level.

  • What can I expect in my first session?

Your first session is mostly about getting to know you—what brings you in, what you hope for, and what life looks like for you right now. We’ll explore your story at a pace that feels comfortable, and I’ll share a bit about how I work so you can get a sense of whether it feels like a good fit. You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say—just come as you are.

  • What is group therapy like?

Group therapy is a space to learn about yourself through connection with others. You’ll find that hearing others’ experiences—and being seen in your own—can be deeply healing. Each group has a focus (for example, anxiety, self-worth, or relational growth) and is limited in size so that every member has space to share and engage meaningfully.
